Raven Aerostar's Director of Security has been appointed to lead the American Society of Industrial Security's commitment to promoting excellence in the Defense and Intelligence Community security professions.
The American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS) is a professional membership organization that provides security practitioners with programs and services to increase productivity and awareness. ASIS sets international standards for certification programs in the security profession. They have more than 33,000 members worldwide, whose titles range from CSO and Vice President of Security to Security Manager and Director.
As a part of ASIS, there are communities of interest working groups focusing on specific industries and specific topics associated with the many different parts of the security profession, including hotel security, executive protection, risk management, and the Defense and Intelligence Community.
This community is focused on promoting excellence in the Defense and Intelligence Community security professions, advancing the understanding of how security can positively impact the missions of government and industries that support it. They deliver high quality security educational programs for security professionals, serve as a resource for legislation and regulation affecting national security, promote the highest ethical standards within the defense and intelligence security profession, establish and promote security best practices and collaborate with government and industry on regulatory issues.
Jonathan has been appointed to the Position of Chairman of the Defense and Intelligence community of interest. He will be leading the organization for two years and three months. Jonathan has over 30 years of experience in the Industrial Security and Cyber Security fields. His focus has been on the National Industrial Security Program, Corporate Cyber Security, and Security Management. He works out of the Aerostar Technical Solutions office in Arlington, VA, and has been with Raven since October 18, 2018.
